Questo documentario indaga il destino dell'arte nel mondo tecnologico e materialista contemporaneo e pone una domanda centrale: l’arte deve rifugiarsi in uno spazio proprio, lontano dalla realtà, o deve immergersi completamente nel caos della vita moderna? Attraverso le opere di Ai Weiwei, Kara Walker, Andy Warhol, Anselm Kiefer, Michal Rovner il film cerca risposte a queste domande. La conclusione è intrisa di speranza: l’arte e la creatività rappresentano comunque un modo per trascendere gli orrori del nostro tempo.

This documentary explores the fate of art in today’s technological, materialistic world and poses one, fundamental question: should art create a realm far removed from reality where one can find refuge or should it completely plunge into the chaos of modern life? Through the works of Ai Weiwei, Kara Walker, Andy Warhol, Anselm Kiefer, Michal Rovner, the film attempts to provide an answer to these questions. The conclusion is imbued in hope: art and creativity thus represent a manner to transcend the horrors of our times.
