Ai piedi della Elephant Hill, nella provincia cinese di Zhejiang, si trova l'innovativa struttura chiamata Wa Shan, letteralmente "montagna di tegole": una Guest House costruita tra il 2011 e il 2013 dall'architetto Wang Shu, vincitore del Pritzker Prize 2012, su commissione della China Academy of Art. Situato nel campus dell'Accademia e realizzato interamente con materiali riciclati e terra battuta, l'edificio rappresenta un esempio di architettura sostenibile e una provocazione in una nazione dominata dal cemento.

At the foot of Elephant Hill, in the Chinese province of Zhejiang, lies the innovative structure known as Wa Shan, which literally means “mountain of bricks ", a Guest House built between 2011 and 2013 by architect Wang Shu, winner of the 2012 Pritzker Prize, on commission of the China Academy of Art. Located on the Academy’s campus and entirely built with recycled materials and clay tiles, the building is an example of sustainable architecture and a provocation in a country dominated by cement.
