In questo filmato, girato agli inizi del 2013, James Turrell rivisita la sua installazione Second Meeting, realizzata nel 1989 presso l’abitazione di una coppia di collezionisti a Los Angeles. Nel film Turrell descrive ciò che inizialmente lo abbia spinto a “scolpire la luce” e come i suoi skyspaces allarghino le nostre percezioni visive coinvolgendo l’occhio, il corpo e la mente.

Filmed in early 2013, the short documentary shows James Turrell revisiting his installation Second Meeting (1989) at the home of private collectors in Los Angeles. In the film, Turrell describes what initially attracted him to working with light and how skyspaces encourage a closer examination of our visual perceptions impacting the eye, the body and the mind.
